Day 2: supa easy jogging (plus a solution to getting rid of side cramps while running!!)
As you should all know by now, I have challenged myself to jog to my neighborhood pool and back twice a day for seven days, and this is day two of my running.
For today, I challenged myself to jog all the way to my neighborhood’s pool and back, but to only make one stop at the pool itself before I jog back. My f=ather told me that if I drink alot of water an hour before I run, (and no drinking in between my water and jog) I wouldn’t feel the side stitch pain I usually get. He was right! I drank alot of water before my run in the morning and afternoon. And it worked!! The only pain I felt today was the burning in my legs from the nonstop will power I was burning!!! BOO YAH
Anyway, in my afternoon jog my legs were burning and I wanted to stop running, but no way was I giving up!! I remembered the pain of my side stitch and knew it was way worse than the pain I felt in my legs right then and kept on. I made it, went home, and did a total BELLYFLOP onto my couch. But I nailed it!
Steps to get rid of side stitch while running
- DO drink water an hour before you run, and no more drinks in between. (your kidneys need time to process the water you’ve just drank and store it for when you need it.
Then just run.
