If you're wondering what a graphic novelzation is, It's basically when a book that was a novel or movie gets changed into a Long comic book. that's what happened here in the case of Jacky Ha-Ha. It was a novel but Adam Ryan and Betty C10 graphic novel eyes it so we can be like some long comic book to be read and enjoyed like the book itself! … Just in comic book form!
I'm going to be reviewing this book based on the plot and the drawings. so just sit back grab your snacks and let's begin shall we?
in case you haven't heard of the Jackie Ha-Ha I'll give you a little hint about what you're getting into here:
Quick description of the story
So Jackie Is this girl who wants to start a new this year Since she doesn't feel quite happy with her past making all those jokes and getting into trouble. But the thing is she really enjoys are making people laugh even if her jokes are inappropriate for that time And place. But with her mom in the military, her dad hardly ever home, and all the trouble she's causing at school, she's still trying to find her place in life and get to the bottom of all this funny stuff.
THE PLOT
The plot of the Jackie ha-ha graphic novel in my opinion was really good. I like how it showed career I don't care much about stand-up comedy and acting. I never hear about kids who go down a comedic career even if it is Fiction. And Even some of Jackie's jokes are funny to me, And that's saying something cuz it's hard to make me laugh.
THE ART
The art in my opinion was in Admirable. It went with the story really well and I loved the way how sometimes in special moments the background would get these shiny silver circles which I haven’t seen in a graphic novel before.
Also I really like how when Jackie is thinking evil, A devil appears on her shoulder while when she was trying to write to her mom, she wrote positively and all these unicorns and rainbows appeared. In addition to that love how Tang drew a diverse background of people. The art was amazing! Overall I feel the illustrations fit the story to a T.
To me, this story deserves a five out of ten. Definitely a choose for kids, pre-teens and teens who want to be comedians, actors or for someone who just wants to read something fun.
